Live music is what The Railway Venue is all about but even when there isn’t a band playing it’s still a great place to chill.

TESTIMONIALS ***

“Without doubt, one of the best small venues on the circuit” Sue Ashcroft - Classic Rock Magazine.

“Bolton’s Railway is an excellent venue, one of the country’s finest. For it’s size, it’s up there with the best & is certainly one of the most friendly & convivial. But what I like most is their unwavering dedication for showcasing new & up & coming bands…” Rob Evans - Classic Rock Magazine.

“We had such a lovely gig, with the best stage set-up, lighting and pa, and sound engineering (by Jon Hanson) that anyone could ask for. Thanks so much to the lovely Jon and Hilary for looking after us and making us so welcome, and to everyone who came to support us.” Beck Sian (cousin of Kate Bush)

“A full house at The Railway in Bolton, 2&1/2 on stage, a Top Venue, one of the best in the UK, and a fantastic crowd. I am both overwhelmed and truly grateful for the support I am receiving on this tour and that praise for “Museum”. Once again a big thank you to Jon & Hilary for running a great, great venue, it feels like home when you are there, and they leave the tea bag in and make a serious brew.
Love and Peace”

Our selection of wines, spirits & beers is second to none and it’s all beautifully kept. We have a dress code policy which means no sportswear, caps, shorts etc.
